  • New bait, new venue..... Nothing exciting though!

Had four hours out tonight down at clatchie, a first for me. I fished 2 up and 2 down using some salted ragworm that I prepared from left overs from last weeks session. This terrible looking dehydrated and wrinkly worm tipped with bluey seemed to do quite well, I must admit that I was quite surprised to catch 6 small flounder and a coalie. Nothing of size mind with all fish under 30cm, most of which more like 20-25cm at best. I won't be putting my mortgage on this bait but it did seem to work!

Nothing monstrous landed but It was a nice afternoon/night to be out, All fish were caught on 2 hook flappers with an isome on the top hook - incidentally the isome didn't take a single fish.

Anyway, nice to be away from the tv and just glad to have caught, especially after last weekends tough session on the wear.

    Cheers

if you can winkle a couple out this time of year, your doing well.

normally it would be early for them in any numbers or size.
