  • Shields Good Friday

    Fished shields pier this morning not much happening but had small codling, flounder and a plaice to brighten the day. All fish returned.

                    Nice little plaice. Which part of the pier did you fish? 44 has always been a hotspot for them, was it up near there by any chance?

                      Looking at the tiny slivers of concrete visible around the edge of his box I'd guess not...

                        Yes the 44 is the hot spot for plaice, It was up past the 44 probably the 47 where the concrete section is infront of the blocks.

                            Not joking just a bit thick (and full of wine ). Was thinking of the cobbles around the 44, forgot about the concrete bit up near the blocks; I was thinking of the concrete before the gate
