  • we floundered in the wind

we fished a club match last night [Hartlepool Pirates]

the shore marks were out in that wind so we all headed for the rivers.

the challenge was to find a spot with a bit of shelter but with a good chance of getting a weigh in. myself and dave opted for a new mark to us on the wear with the wind behind us and plenty of shelter. other lads fished various marks along the river.

4 of us returned with 7 size flounders between us.

dave had the best fish. a lovely fish for this time of year at 43cm weighing exactly 2lb

the fish were released alive back into the river.

The same 4 of us went Mick we hired a rent a wreck and had a brilliant time! Fishing was a bit sporadic to say the least but still had quite a few out! Loads of fish of 2lb or so which were returned and it all looks good for the future
