  • Roker pier 15-03-13

Had a couple of hours on the pier this afternoon, 4 till 6. finished up with 3 whities, 1 little 'un that had swallowed the hook and 2 a bit bigger. Lad next to me threw a little whitey back and one of the 2 cormorants that were waiting, lowped on it and swallowed it whole!! Saw a big seal in the bay on the way off. Only used macky strip for bait, good enough for the whities. Loads of small bites, so not a bad couple of hours.

I was at BA site up river and had loads of small bites which would not connect. Using size 1 hooks as well-bet it was small whities. Defo not crabs as bait coming back almost intact.

I was the guy who threw the small Whitey back only to see it hammered by the cormorant, I threw it well away from the Cormorant and I didnt think it would get to it that quick !. Nice to meet you mate. 2 Dabs and 2 Whiting, biggest 37 cm, nice session for the time of year and nice to see a few fish coming in for a change. Been too quiet recently.

That's right cut was the deepest 1mm cut I have ever seen
It's hard to see a grown man almost crying with all that blood pouring out of his finger.
