Fished smiths dock last night from 6.30 till about 10.30, not exactly the warmest of nights but it was good to be out. I fished the far end casting towards my left.
In a change of strategy for me I fished a good size pulley pennel rig baited with a cart/squid combo and 6/0's. I didn't get so much as a sniff until 9am when in 3 consecutive casts I had a large whitey that weighed 1lb 7oz, then a codling of 2lb 4oz and soon after another of 2lb 1oz, hardly massive but I was pretty pleased with myself. All fish were caught on a newly refurbished C3ld that was expertly built by fishfingers (Stan) - great to christen the rod properly too!
Sadly no photos but I am getting an iPhone from work in a few weeks so should be able to post pics without much bother in the future.
