Well lads picked up some lovely bait again fom Moonfleet angling and headed off the South Shields pier. Set up just before the gate which was locked. It was cold with wind in my face. After two casts decided to return to Ratty at Sunderland so made short drive. Loads fishing on the small piece of jetty at the back of the yacht club. I went to far right side and ended up with a double shot of big whities and small cod and flounder.
It got crowded as pier had been shut.
Called it a day at about 5pm. Did not really enjoy as crowded--but anglers at Roker are limited when pier is closed.

ps Yacht club are trying to claim land to stop anglers using the path. So even less room to fish.
