Just a quick post following on from a short (3 hour) session down near the ratty, just behind the yacht club.
I headed for the mark today out of pure laziness as I had a few hours spare and didn't fancy the walk up the pier with the tide being low. It was fish from the off with plenty of good whiteys being caught on a variety of baits, most of them falling to mackie tipped worm which isn't a surprise really.
The stamp of the fish was excellent, no skinny little rat fish like we were seeing a few months ago, all fish were a good size and in good condition, a few lads even had some that would have pushed the 2lb mark.
Obviously not cod fishing lads but nice to be kept busy landing some nice fish in pleasant conditions.
