  • Blyth pier

Went from 10am until mid afternoon today. Never seen so many fishing there.
It was cold and wet. Just like all the massive fish that I didn't catch. Not even a bite.

I did hear that somebody pulled in an 8-10 pounder while I was there, but I reckon it must have been the only fish caught all day - nobody I spoke to had had even a bite.

Maybe it'll be better when the sea drops off a bit...

Thanks for info. Was thinking about trying to get down from Consett next couple of days but don,t think its worth the chew with all the snow.

I was there today mate. Took my father but he got wet and to be fair I was bloody freezing as well. So didn't last long.

Wasn't good was it. My mate went on the ebb just after I left and didn't see a fish for the time he was there as well.

All in all rubbish for the conditions.

Must have just missed ya; I was on for a couple of hours from about 2-4pm & never saw a fish, most people drifted away during that time, but a few were just coming on as I wrapped up. Complete waste of time and bait today, but there should be fish on the beach when that sea drops - hopefully in time for my match on thursday.
