  • Blyth Beach

Went out yestaday to blyth beach at 2:00 pm to catch the high tide. Had a codling of about 8 oz. and a flounder of about 1 lb. Father fishing beside me only caught a coalie of about 8 oz, thought he caught something big as the rod had a few little knocks and then got dragged of the rod rest, caught up with it and clamped down on it it was moving about a lot his knee went and i took over, i was sure that it was a decent fish as it took line and was moving about loads after a battle all to show was a massive clump of seaweed/kelp and a 2 x1 metre sheet of tarporlin. so brought some excitement to the night and disappointment. well at least we caught something. finished about 7:00 pm. bait was ragworm.
