had my first blank of the season yesterday 31/12/12 the conditions were bad till about 3.30pm when the wind eased a touch. tried ever combination of bait but had no fresh, just frozen, runny, razor sand eel, squid and mackerel....if i fished into the harbour [whitey corner] would have picked up a few small whitey but was after cod. me and m8 fished till 5.45pm then called it a day [its new years eve] with hindsight we should have moved to fish the twin steps for the last 3 hours one and a half hours up and back .m8 got one small whitey.....out again thursday [this retirement thing is pretty canny i do,nt know how i managed to fit in work] a happy new year to all of you and tight lines regards dave db4111
