    hey guys ,
i am going to go out and try to find some beds to dig here in norway. i was wondering if any of you have any advie on what to look for ?
i know about looking for the casts in the sand ,but is there any particular type of conditions i need to look for ? ie:river mouths , type of sand.
im new to this so some advice would be appricatied .
im hopeing to get lug , but i am told that rag worm dont leave any casts in the sand so how do you find them ?
thanks in advance , all the best for 2013 !!

Hi mate to find rag worm look for rocky muddy ground.
Just lift a few rocks and if you find any holes in the ground about 1-2mm in size these will be breath hole left by rag worm.
Dig about 1-2 folks down that should be more than enough to find worm.
When digging lug if you fined a cast dig long the side of it and try and follow the tunnel down this way you will have more chance of getting the worm.
Until you get used to the ground were your digging this will come with time.
Good luck mate you can't beat fresh bait and its free.

Look for sheltered bays with firm sand for the lugworm with not too much water lying, as this makes digging harder. Ragworm will often be found in and near muscle beds. I remember when i was in southern Norway, the tide hardly moved between high and low water. Good luck.
p.s. Not sure if using live bait is allowed in Norway, so be careful.

As has been said the muddy bays etc are the place to be. Dont think you will have any trouble finding both and mussel as yours dont get hammered like over here. I dug some when I fished near Straumen and there were worms everywhere.

thanks for the tips mate , Straumen is very far north from stavanger , but im guessing its the same coastline so shoudl have the same worms , landscape etc running along it , fingers crossed i will have some success
