Blyth pier and newbiggin

Me and Scotty sim fished Blyth Pier on Friday night 4 till 10, fished just after the bend a few small stuff being caught, seen a few bigger ones up to 1.5lb from the end but not a great deal.
Tried Newbiggin bay on Sunday night bites from the off only manage to get a few biggest about 2.5lb but much better than Scott who took me, he managed to hook what he thought was a plastic glove, unfortunately when he picked it up he realized it was a used condom, I am still laughing now he was not a happy man.
Baits used were rag lug and squid

Ahhh the rare Durex eel making a return to our shores. at least it's something quite rare for the species list this season

The only bite to return all night and it ended up a specimen black ribbed Knobbler. Fatyorkie's consoling reaction was worth it though laughing his head off at my reaction.

I think the best bait to catch a condom is a mermaids purse.
