Got down to pier 12:30 determined to get a good spot up on top and was pleased to see no one else on.
Two rods set up but by god it was cold. My razer which had been defrosted by Liam with hot water at NETS but was freezing up again.
After a couple of hours of fishing on my own two other lads joined me on the pier. We all had whities with no Cod.
The weather got colder and a fret moved in which actually iced up the lines.
It got so bad i called it a day at about 6pm. Had about 8 whities all returned.
Got over fence ok but as i approached the steps off pier went arse over tit on a sheet of ice. Was ok and made it home in one piece.
It felt colder than Norway and at the car it was -4.
    Mick.
