I don't know the weight as I don't have any scales and I cleaned it at the beach but another angler saw me land it and he thought it maybe 11lb but its my PB for the beach I lost a bigger one on the middleton several years ago estimated by several others at 13lb who saw it being hand lined up the peir. I caught it on the beach at Hartlepool and it was about to pull my rod and stand over before I grabbed it. It was really heavy getting it in so much so that I thought it may be a big lump of kelp until it broke the surface and I knew I had a fish for sure. The names Brian.
