  • Last night at lynemouth

Fished Lynemouth beach down for probably 3 hours with another NESA member last night. Quite a few out initially but then others packed in and either went elsewhere or decided to head home.

It was a beautiful evening to be out with a decent sea on, not to wet or cold either and we had high hopes for a decent fish or two. Sadly the fishing was in vain with not so much as a knock between the two of us we were both very surprised as the conditions looked perfect and previous reports on the fishing there had been good. On the plus side as a newbie I picked up bloody tons of great tips to put into action, whilst short on fish I really enjoyed the fishing and the craic. Oh, and my bait presentation is starting to look spot on too (thanks to a tutorial from the NESA lad I was out with!!!)

In all a great night but no fish......but there's always the next time!

Baits used lug, razors, squid and a bit of bluey

Massive thanks to the member that took me out, it was really appreciated!

Nice report, I was on Lynemouth to last night talked to a few anglers and there was only a flatty to be seen between them. It's very poor at the moment, I did catch a rockling though to save the blank lol.....wooohoooo!!!

What ya trying to say Trev lol. There were at leat 10 rods out there and the only fish we knew of was a flatty!! The conditions were plum for the codling but not a sniff. Not even my obligatory whiting was caught. Maybe tides were too small? Who knows - just one of those sessions I suppose as even I thought the baits which were getting put out were good enough to eat. Maybe next time Damien mate. Doubt we'll have many sessions like that at all. In fact first time I've blanked for months lol
