Never caught anything off Blyth pier in 16 years! Bass, cod, whiting, and lots of others from the beach but nothing from the pier!

It's just one of those places that never seems to work for me, seen lots of good fish come off it but never me.!! Beach still fishes well. I enjoy 4am light rod and reel , light line, long snood , drilled bomb lead and whole peeler for the bass.

i started fishing september and Blyth pier for me has been cracking. ive had size cod, colie, whiting and dab. its been a great place to learn the basics. Santa is fetching me a tripod so im looking forward to hitting the beaches soon. How in hell can ya fail for so long on the pier? what ya using for bait - tomato soup? lol

Used to be a cracking shot. You could bag up on coalies from the end, pollock from the pier legs and a bonus lobster from the river side.
But just hasn't thrown anything my way for years.
