  • Blanking at seaburn beach

Well it had to happen to one of us....

Fished seaburn beach behind latimers tonight 5 till 9.30 in a slightly improvised session using frozen baits (blacks, bluey and squid). With the seas lately I had high hopes but didn't get even a single knock

Tons of weed in the water made the fishing difficult, at least for a novice like me it did. This was my first beach session since I've started fishing and also my first blank in 6 weeks. Never mind, it was probably well due.

Plenty others out, would be interesting to see if they caught or has the fishing slowed slightly since earlier this week?

Unlucky mate , the first is the worst and you'll get used to them lol, ya have a target for the next time now :-) tight lines
    I am a fisherman !
It is not merely something that I do
It is who I am !
Fishing is not simply my escape.
It is where I am supposed to be.
It is not a place that I go
But a lifelong journey that I am taking
It is a passage that was shown to me and that I will continue to show others.
When you understand all of this you will then know me .
    And we will fish together

The beach died off on Wednesday mate with only a couple of fishing coming out and loads before. Its one of those beaches which fishes amazing when the sea's away but they move back out very fast. It still usually has a few flatties, coalies and whiteys in there but we all have such sessions at times. Makes the days you do catch more pleasing and teaches you not to take them for granted lol

            Thanks for the replies guys,

It's funny, the fishing earlier in the week looked great but the number and quality of the reports on the site slowed towards the back of the week and the weekend. Whilst I fished with enthusiasm I actually had a feeling the fish were gone, weird.

All the same I quite enjoyed my session, a nice night to be out.

I still have TONS to learn and am hopeful that the next time will be better!

            Cheers

The more you fish the better you'll get but you never stop learning.
Good luck on your next trip out.
