Hendon then Whitburn

Fished the flood at Hendon prom today after a report of a few codling thought I'd try my luck, was a swell on yesterday but today was flat as a witches tit. Soon as the tide turned I headed to the cliffs at Whitburn, some real good powerful knocks but couldn't connect. Used the last of my lug and mussel so banged it on a big 5/0 pennel and lobbed it out and pulled in a nice red codling of about pound and a half. Nice night to be out and no blank!
