    fished from 11am to 2pm ish today and unusually for basin nowt till midday hooked half pound codling few bites but when tide turned 11ish just got dragged from mid river to 10foot out time after time then to top it off weed online n lead got worse each cast was other guy there 2hr b4 i left he had nowt when i headed home like hope he did better than me was worst day had there for many a month back to smiths dock next week i think

    im going to smiths docks tomorrow 2 hours before low water and 1 or 2 after... just using some mackerel and a few blow lug. not as easy to get to but i am beginning to like it.

      These massive tides might be too big for the river lads? Is there a spot which is OK?

              your best of fishing the smaller tides st peters basin is one of the narrower parts of the river and nearly impossible to fish in this weeks big tides. davy.

                The tyne can be fished on bigger tides on small to neap tides fish narrow parts of river and on bigger tides fish the wider parts of the river.

                  i havnt had the energy to go out yet, do you reckon smiths docks is ok on the bigger tides? or am i just wasting my time like a few have said
