Fished ssp last night from 4 till 8. Got set up around the 44 mark while it was still light, hardly a breath of wind but quite chilly. No fish until after it turned dark when the sea got even flatter than it had been.
Not much to report really, had a good size dab and a whiting then a decent pouting, hadn't had one of them since January this year so I was quite pleased with that.
The reason I said flat night was that the batteries went flat on first my radio, gutted because Beat Surrender is on Radio Newcastle on a Saturday night, best show on the radio. Then both batteries died on my headlight, my own fault for not charging them, had to use my emergency wind up one.
A lovely night to be out with all the fireworks and Chinese lanterns at South and North Shields, shame the fishing wasn't better.
I'm out again for a few hours today before the football, hoping for a result from both.
Not the best pic, but it wouldn't stay still at all.
