  • Smith's Docks 1/11/12

    Went for a few chucks down Smith's Docks today, started earlier on around half 12, 1ish, brought the rods in around 2000hrs.

    Used Rag and Mackerel baits all day. Started a bit slow, but picked up and remained steady all night with Small Codling and decent size Whiting being taken more or less every cast by Myself and Parky and one other lad. Even a Dab for a little bit of variety too! Good times!

    Pictures below are of a few choice catches.

    Thight lines fellas.

        never fished this place before, but heard nothing but good reports about it. all i want to know is do i have to climb a fence or gate to get to it, or is it easily accessible as i want to go with my dad but he is not what he used to be lol what is the easiest way in ?

          Was a cracking day lost count of how many whiting i had all of a very good stamp. Will be going back again soon as the sport was there all through the tide all fish went back alive apart from 1 or 2 which were deeply hooked. Here are a few more pics : )

            Drive to high shore take some wellys park at the entrance to high shore there is a hole in the fence tight lines


            Ohh and lads try not to leave any litter there was bags of cans etc all over the place today. When they finally open this to the public we want to still be able to fish it.....Litter already there just gonna put signs up everywhere banning us just like dolphin quays.
