Fished Embleton Beach last night with my son between 10pm and 4am. Loads of Coleys about 1 lb kept us busy, for a while weed became a nuisance. My son chucked out a short cast, his rod bending with what we thought was a lump of weed, instead it was a 3lb cod. His first of the winter, he was mighty chuffed.
Bait used was a bag of Asda frozen raw king prawns, we’ve been using this more lately and we are impressed with the range of fish it attracts, not bad for a good sesh for 2 for a fiver! It was a beautiful night, full moon lighting up the castle, sea was in a good state too.
