  • Cracking session.

    Had a spin up the coast yesterday on the hunt bass. Sea was lovely and got to my Mark to fish the flooding tide. Had some lovely bait from ollies and set up with two hook flappers. Managed to land 6 bass in 3.5hrs all in ragworm. Biggest going 41cm and 1lb 11oz. Never caught a bass in the north east before so over the moon!

    PB. Ling - 12lb 6oz. Cod - 11lb 6oz, Coley - 3lb 6oz, Pollock - 4lb 1oz, Flounder - 1lb 11oz, Plaice - 1lb 10oz, Whiting 1lb 9oz.

        Hope all the bass went back It is closed season for killing any bass untill 1st July when a sinlge sized bass can be taken per fisherman per session. That applies untill 31 Dec when catch and release applies again. No cheating lads

          Put back nearly all my fish mate and yeah I know the bass rule.... All the bass involved in the making of this post were returned unharmed

            Won't be Bass fishing until I can keep one. Rule is a disgrace to angling not to say how much it has probably cost local angling shops in lost sales. The pressure put on shore anglers to return fish is ridiculous when boats are raking them in. Keep putting them back boys, its more for the boats to hoover up.

              this is to neefish,i dont often post on the site but i know the lad who started this thread and he knows all there is about fishing.i have read most of your posts since you joined this site (most of them negative) .i think you should put your fishing gear away put your slippers on and start watching emmerdale and coronation street.

                        Well done on the bass mate want to catch one myself also to the user neefish howay man ive noticed you like to tell people the rules about bass alot lets not assume everyones a numpty eh
