    fished the pipe from about 12 midday until about 2.30pm after an hour on the beach. plenty of knocks but only caught 1 small dab which obviously got put back. few lads didnt even get a knock at all. was using frozen black lug and mackerel and also fresh mussel. maybe see was too calm. thinking about going to st peters basin tomorrow because ive heard good reports about there lately. we will see. at least i didnt blank

    Were you chucking to the left or right? ive always seemed to have better luck when casting straight out or slightly right. It seems the ground is rougher, but shallower there. Casting to the north seems to be mixed ground and has been hitty missy for me. However, fishing for me has been poor so far this season so that doesnt mean much!

      i was on the rocks on the left of the pipe about 30 yards from the end casting out to the left, there wasnt much of a sea on at all to be honest. hopefully things will change sometime soon lol. tight lines.
