with the pier closed last night had to fish the rathouse took monday off work so fancied an all nighter
went from bad to worse
1st head lamp wouldnt work
2nd rod tip light stopped
3rd does seaweed count as i must of pulled in over a tonne of it
fished from 8.30 sunday night till 2 in the morning using 2 rods, big baits and smaller ones
had freshly dug lug, crab, muscle, squid, rag and not a BITE FOR 5 1/2 HOURS

only seen 1 whiting caught between 12 anglers
waste of a days holiday lolololololol
always next time might try again monday afternoon

Unlucky Toonboy, was thinking of having a sesh there this week, as promised to take a couple friends fishing but thats another mark crossed off, not looking good.

there was quite a few caught last night from cowbar jetty near whitby and a lad had 10 off whitby west pier

Whitby is about 50-60 mile from the rathouse though mate

i no m8 just though id tell u lads that south ov the tees is fishing very well loads ov mops about though u wd b bagging up with the marks u lads have better luck next time

If it makes you feel better i fished today 6pm -7pm got one whitie 42cm but very skinny . It went back.
I was on the car park left of the ratty.
Using up my last few worms from weekend.

I will join that blanking list fished the pier today from about 10.30am-6.00pm. Not a single bite. Would have went home a lot earlier but the crack/banter was mint with a canny set of lads so the hours just disappeared. But overall the fishing was terrible Barr the odd whitey caught earlier by a few young lads And a 4lber caught by a canny bloke with a 7ft rod with small hooks and bits of mackerel as bait. Good in him though for a canny catch
