    had a run down the pier again yesterday hoping there would be a little movement with the slight north wind end of pier looked like mackerel season so started off down by the post into the estuary 1st chuck sees me into a decent fish only to be hung up on the ropes of a pot 30 yds out me pal was having no luck loosing alot of gear so we had a run up to the end 50 yds left of the blocks and landed 4 whiting 1 of which had no stomach and only 1 side of its face intact. me mate simon blanked again as he has done everytime hes fished the pier LOL

    bait was lug and mussell

    Few fish anyway mate. Pier looked jammed as I came off walkway about 12.
    GET OUT THERE AND STICK A BAIT IN IT !!!

      Not much off the pier at the minute. I fished the SE corner for five hours on Saturday night and only had five whiting, nothing before it got dark. One lad had a codling about 2lbs but that was the only decent fish I saw. Some lads leaving said they had caught nothing all day.
      Things can only get better as the winter draws in
      People who live in glass houses have to answer the door.

            hardlines m8 on the good fish you lost still beats sitting in the house one of the lads on the end lost one around 7lb mark on the lift

              Not sure what happened to the fish mate i really struggled to grt it in kept coming but almost felt stuck very very heavy when it came in it was fastened to a another rig and found the fish ripped to bits

              A seen the lad fetch the biggin in jimmy all a could hear was f!!! Its fell off was gutted for the lad

                If there is any chance to walk the fish you should try. I saw a very good angler at Hartlepool hook into an 8lb er and he walked it from the end to the steps easing it along. 2-0 hook on a two hook flapper. I went down the steps and got the fish by the gills for the lad.
