Well, headed along the pier just before low water this morning in the blazing sunshine but could see the rain on the way. Only one other person on the pier, 'fishingmark', nice to meet you and put a name to the face mate :-)

One of the potters had laid a line straight off the south east corner and had already accounted for one of 'fishingmarks' sets of gear but I set up and cast to the right of it anyway.

Once by one the pier started to fill up around the end and the rain came down when I realised apart from the jacket, I was underprepared :-)

Stayed about 3 hours, had a bite pretty much every cast and connected with 2 9-10" coalies and a small dab. Coalies on mussel/rag cocktail and dab on straight rag. All hooked nicely and went back swimming.

A nice day to be out of the house and enjoyed a bit crack with some of the lads

Good to meet you today mate.
A couple of the downpours today were a bit rough but apart from them the weather wasn't too bad. I had that double hook up of Whiting and Dab and that was it for me on the end of the pier. Lost another set of gear when the tide started to push the gear back into the pier so I headed down to the first gate.
Caught another Dab and that was it. Packed up about five and headed home.
Not a bad day out even if the fishing wasn't great. Don't think the seal helped matters either.
Back up there Friday night if the weather's not too rough
