  • The Tables --- Sluice

Hi lads fished the table at the sluice last night from around 10ish till about 2 30 in the early morning and did nothing for the first hour or so and then things started to change as i was into my first bite of the night with a coalie of about 2lbs and then things got better as i started to get good bites and then i was into a codling of just over a 1lb and then i got another one about the same weight again and then i got a flounder just over the 1lb mark and then another coalie at about the same weight as my first one and i was casting out at around 170 yds and baiting up with rag lug and tipping off with mackerel as i was about to wrap up for the night iwasinto another coddie just over the 2lb mark so that was/nt a bad session at all and there were a couple of other lads fishing not far from me and they were doing okay too I am sorry i did/nt take any pics as i was just talking to the lads and things just took my mind off it and all the fish caught were released back into the sea unharmed so there you are that was my night and i enjoyed every minute of it so here/swaiting for the next time out TIGHT LINES.

Cheers lads and yes if you have good gear and practice your casting you can do it too as i use a HT7 reel and a zzeplex pro master and can cast very well but there at table tops at the sluice you have to cast around that distance to clear the rocks as it is a very rocky ground so again cheers for your remarks and tight lines.
