  • beacons

    fished 2 hours at the beacons friday, i thought it looked good for a few codling, but only had one sizeable one. however i did get a bass about 2 1/4 lb, and a 3 1/4 lb pollack, so worth the walk.
    it must be about 20 years since my last pollack and 35 years since my last bass!

      nice fish mate seems we have an explosion of pollock on our shores and long may it continue

          Nice one Ian, been a while since I've been up to the Beacons, but that's where my best pollock 8 1/4lb came from. Shame there weren't a few more codlings. A little bird tells me we might be seeing you thursday night down at South Beach??

                Just north of Newbiggin, at the south end of Lynemouth Beach. A canny shank along the golf course to get there....

                      Not that bad of a walk if you park at the powerstation plus you can try your luck on the beach aswell.
