sat fished 44 mark with 12 yr old son and me uncle visiting from cambridge.they got there an hour b4 me as i was at work.when i met up with them the son came up yelling he;d caught a whopper, so i thought here we go,but lookin in this bag the jammy sods just caught his biggest sea fish ,when i weighed it 2lb 12oz haddock he was well chuffed.anyway i started fishing, managed a flounder just over 1lb,plaice about 1 1/2 mark and then caught me first mackeral on me hook baited with bluey.uncle lost pollock of about 3 lb bringing it up the wall, then i did the same about 5 min later.son finished the day off with the claw of a lobster, which he lost the rest of when it hit the surface and then he got a small scorpion fish from the river side down the side of the wall.......sun. we all went down together about 11am but very quiet as we did nt get a bite until about 2pm when son pulled in another little scorpion fish.and then me uncle saved himself from a weekend blank bringin in a canny plaice of 2lb 4oz.not to be out done pulled in scorpion fish and a small lobster on me 2 hook flapper to save the day.last cast uncle les pulls in another small lobster with both being safetly returned.overall canny weekend apart from the drenchin on sat. first report so hope u enjoy

Nice bit of variety there. I fished the pier on Friday and Sunday, flounders and more flounders, Oh and the usual greedy mackerel.
