  • seaham pier 25/8/12

Had a couple of hours before work today so popped down the pier, got absolutely soaked.
Had a few small cod, colies, whiting and a lobster! Kept 2 fish both size and deep hooked, bait was crab and bluey.
Lost a few sinkers on my rotten bottom, which surprised me as the area I was fishing is usually clean.
Anyway chucked this lot and a couple of mackerel I had in the fridge into a fish pie!
    Gorgeous!
    Stay safe!
    Enjoy your fishing!
    Take your rubbish home!

Yes I used the RT Ax and I love it. Might be a bit heavy, and too stiff for some, but suits me fine!

Looking forward to the winter now, get the drunken litter louts off our piers and make way for the propper anglers!

                        Good catch m8.
Totally agree with you about loosing gear. I/we have been loosing an unusual amount of gear off the pier lately. Probably due to all the lost spinners, feathers and rogue pots out there.
