South shields pier 16/08/12

Had a shot on the pier today with a mate got on the south east corner and hardly any mackerel lads out so not to bad 1st rod goes right over but missed the fish
Things go very slow for the next couple of hours few casts later i pulled in a nice loster of about 1.5lb very beautiful colours around the tail next cast i managed an undersize plaice and that was it for the day although it was a bite a chuck just couldnt connect with them

Trevor came along an an hour into the ebb and was pulling whiteys in left right and centre
Bait i used was crab rag lug
