bored stiff this morning so toddled off to spittal prom fishing the tide down,there was a fair amount of scum on the water, and pretty dirty but never mind, started fishing about 8.30 with a baited rod(makky) and a spinning rod ,zenith type spinner,got a flounder about3/4 lb at 1.30,then nowt for the rest of the day.on the spinner i got 4 shrimps,yip thats reet,and a wee fish av never seen beforei have a pic of it on here but dont no how to down load it any way it was about 3 ins long, yellow tail,pionted not forked.if any body goes to recent albums you can see it.as the afternoon got longer and warmer i became surrounded by various children and parents who were adamant they were gonna plodge and swim as near to my tackle as poss(me fishing tackle that is) so enuff was enuff,i wll try somewhere else next week. colin.

at least you didn't blank mate, lucky yer never got stuck by the weever an all. I prefer fishing inside the estuary up there like, just before the lifeboat hut, had some canny lids out
