Just got back from a cracking weekend. Unfortunately the fishing wasn't the best but but the weather was fantastic (too hot yesterday) we fished from 7am just off the rocks at the campsite at Burrahead Holiday park. Low water up over had a few small pollock after a few casts then 1 mackerel then nothing for a few an hour or so so we started rock hopping & found a nice comfy rock to fish the rest of the flood. I ended up with about 10+ small pollock biggest scraping 1lb and about half a dozen mackerel. Devestated as lost my 1st ever bass right at the side guessing about 1.5lb-2lb :-( went back to the campsite to chill for a bit then headed down to Monreith Beech at about 7.30pm no knowing what to expect. Withing seconds of casting into about 2feet of water doggy after doggy so was abit sport for a while to they became a pest.
Today we managed a few pollock and wrasse but not much at all for the few hours we fished. However it's better than being at work :-) & can't wait to go back
