  • lucky first last night

well I was just about to accept it being another bad shore season for me with no cod to show for it. When I gave it one more shot last night with a decent sea running. I got one on and walked back wards dragging the fish and then the weight got lighter and my gear returned with bait intact. /I thought the buggers slipped the hook. The bait was still ok so walked to the sea to cast it in and tripped over a 3lb cod curled up on the sand, lucky or what?

This tickled me, just the thought of going arse over tit then realising you had a fish.
