Decided to down the shields pier as the wind seemed to have eased a bit...and the sea looked flat and calm ideal for spinning.I set off with my
trusted zenith minnows, spinning rod and the century cmc just incase I used my daylites.Once at the pier head I found a spot and got the spinner
out casting into the harbour side however nowt doing from noon till 1.30pm.
I had a chuck with the spinner off the south east corner and got my first Pollack of 2012.I hand balled it up the wall (thanx to chris lurcher86) just in time as my bloodnot was undone but laned nonetheless. The fish was 40/41cm and in good shape so I took a photo and unhooked it and walked down the steps to release it...no probs.
Then it was Mackie time! plenty around the end harbour side and the blocks area...went quiet about 4.15pm myself and lurcher86 headed off the pier @ 5pm a bag a piece of good size Mackie..
