Fished seaham pier yesterday for the first time tried peg 67 at first lost two lots of tackle,moved down to peg 49 no problems here caught a small codling 5 inch long and small flattie both returned ,must admit it felt odd fishing a pier with no railings at first,i used my old Daiwa paul Kerry supercast 13ft multiplier penn 525 not mag also used for the first time a sonic sks 12ft no it didn't snap well not yet anyway even though its a cheap rod it made my daiwa rod feel like a telegraph pole.
