The boss at work is in the shetlands boat fishing,
He went up last friday and is fishing for a week.
I rang him last night (11/07/12). and he said what a day he has had on the boat, between the two of them he had 1200lb of fish in five hours and he got the biggest a cod of 31lb.
His bother is also there and yesterday he used a 5lb coalie as bait and ended up with a 33lb ling.
He said that he dropped his pirk into the water and it was about 100 foot off the bottom when something took it,he knew it was a good fish because he could not reel it in and it took all the line off his reel and the line snapped,he has had 60lb fish before but he said this was bigger so only god knows what it was.
Today he is fishing for haddock today and he returns on Saturday with all the photos so hopefully I will get a copy of his photos and post them on here.
