  • Shields pier again today

Fished from 12 till 7 today plenty of people on the peir most mackerel fishing got on the brass ball and things were slow for me until around 2pm when i managed a codling then another 3 codling after that there was some canny cod coming over the wall from the south east corner with some big plaice amongst them
    wind spoilt it abit mind
The viking had a run in with the zzippy again losing it over the side to a diving boat coming too close to the pier BUT the line was still attached and the lad on the boat retrieved it up and fetched it back to him LUCKY MAN ALAN !!

Bait was fresh crab and lug
    Sorry no photos today

Fish from HT down to low on the end, expect to lose gear but cast over 60yrds ish and you should be clear of the rough stuff... crab will see best results but tohers will fish... lots of good platty's coming in so well worth a crack fromt hem on bottom gear but also been codling and coalies
