  • Bass St Annes Blackpool.

Hi lads as you know i let you all know i was going to Blackpool over the weekend and i set out on Friday and got to the caravan for 6 30 that night and just stopped on the campus for a couple of jars that night and had an early night and got up next morning for 6 30 had some breakfast and set out Saturday morning for 7 30 and got to my first venue by 8 00 at Cleveleys point and set up my gear and cast in with a 2 hook baited up and nothing untill the next cast when i was into a good bite then i struck and when i got it in it was a doggie and cast in a further couple of times and another 2 doggies so i thought about moving else where but stuck it out untill 12 00 and pulled in a couple of flounders then i packed in fishing there and moved up to a place called Lytham crags and fished there for a couple hours where i caught another 2 doggies and a plaice and the plaice weighed in at just over a 1lb then i thought about moving again just up the road to St Annes where i baited up again and caught another couple of flounders and another plaice all just over the 1lb mark then i had another few cast with baited rigs and thought of having a bash for a couple mackerel so i put a set of daylights on and cast out about 140 yds and bang a good bite and when i got in after a bit fight with it to my surprise it was a bass and it was just under 4lbs then i had another few casts and nothing then i had been fishing since 8 00 that morning and it was getting on 7 30 that night before i thought about finishing off but i had another couple of casts with the daylights on and yes bang again another bass just over the 4 lbs so that made my day brilliant i kept the 2 bass but returned all the others and the bait i used was rag lugworm and squid and i am sorry there are no pics as i did/nt have a camera with me so sorry for that but to me that was a cracking day from morning till night.

Yeh G.ordon m8 i was well and truly knackered by 8-00 oclock that night but i knew i went there to have a full days fishing as that is what i like doing and i did/nt know what i was letting myself in for untill 12-00 oclock came round and i was aching then but i told myself just to get on with it and yes i should have had my camera with me but i left it with my misus at the caravan god damn it.and i was going to stay another day but the heavens opened up that night Sunday evening and that put paid to that so we packed up and left the caravan and headed home but really it was a great day and i only wish it had/nt started raining as that put the clangers on it well and truly but never mind there/s other days to come as i am going up to Eyemouth in August for a weeks break and will do a spot of fishing then too okay m8.
