  • Sandy Bay Breakwater Rocks

Sunday just gone I fished the high tide (10.15am) from the furthest left breakwater rocks behind Sandy Bay Caravan Park, my Dads first cast brought in a 1lb flounder and on my first cast on a size 2 Aberdeen hook brought a 3 1/2lb bass. Both were caught on rag from McDermotts in Ashington. Didnt catch nowt after that but im still buzzing off the bass, makes all those blanking nights worthwhile once again.

sorry i havent but it ended up at the excelsior in ashington shown around before eaten within 3 hours of coming out the sea, my biggest catch from the shore, thats the 5th ever bass ive had from around the cambois area, you should give it a blast if you have got a good cast on you and can get past the rollers.
