decided to have a blast off tynemouth pier (when did the PofT put up the roller)
couple of lads coming off said they had a few fish but nothing special
first chuck produced a small tommy and thats how the night went till a better pull and a nice plump codling about 2lb (returned) followed by a couple of size coleys then the fish just switched off so moved down to the four posts but the crabs where out in force so called it a night around 4am
not a bad start to the season just needed to blow the cobwebs off as it has been a couple of years since I had a proper session
