  • Tynemouth Pier Thursday Match

Hi all just a quick report as its been so long since i have caught a size fish.

Fished my midweek league match turned up at 8.30 am only 5 of us drew pegs so i thought my look was in everyone will be on the railings right at the end. Cast out lovely bait 2 hooks one lug mussel one rag and mackerel. Fished like this all day until 2pm and only had 2 tiny codling to show for it decided to try the 4 posts at the bottom of the pier for some flattys. And first cast 1lb 1oz flounder second cast 14oz flounder and my last cast a 1lb flounder to take first place Chuffed : ). There was other lads down at the bottom all fishing on the sand bar all had flounder. Was a very wet and long day but in the end it paid off no pictures as i didn't want to get my phone soaked : ) Tight Lines Parky
