Went down the pier this afternoon for a couple of hours to test a rig a new lure rig we just made, after convincing myself it worked i chucked a 2 up on with a bit of rag tipped with mackerel and pulled in a lovely flounder approx 1lb 3oz(32cm long, & nice and fat). A short but Successful trip.

                      thanks all

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, we haven't been fishing very long (still in our first year)so this flounder was a personal best for me(dee) We started last year during mackerel season with one of our friends who assured us he was a good angler (turns out not so good, sorry mate you know who you are and your ****e!) We were fishing the round head of the pier one day when a bloke came up and give us a few pointers on how to cast correctly and know when to wind in. Little did we know it was the legend, the man, the myth ROKER RONNIE (top bloke good mates now, and beating him on a regular basis lol!)
