Me and my 11yr old son John rocked up on the 5 mark on seaham north pier tonight at 6o-clock tonight. (friday 30/3/12)
The sea had a nice lazy swell rolling, and although I'd tied a load of flattie rigs I fancied a cod. So I set our john up with a two hook flapper loaded with rag and mackerel which produced a little rockling!
Shortly after I had this pretty little tommy, which went back no bother!
When it got dark I swapped the lads rig for a 4/0 pennel flapper loaded with half a mackerel fillet, soon after I was taking this photo!
So not to be outdone, my rod hammered round and this nice little codling joined us on the pier!
1lb 13oz on our lasses weigh****chers scales (shh!) Taken on rag and bluey.
Our john then had an identical doggie to round off another canny nights fishing!
