      Not a numpty mate, just unfortunate to have learned the hard way. We all learn from mistakes like that, I made a few pulley pennels a few months back a size 2/0 up the snood and a 3/0 on the business end.

      I wondered why the snood was snapping on retrieval I had a nice sized whiting on hook and the fish landed on ground with the hook still in its gob with a bit of line still attached, I realised the 2/0 hook had barbs on the back of the hook and wrapping the line around them was snapping the line. I was lucky it could of been a totally different story.
