Things seem to be slowing now as far as fishing is concerned, it's just that time of year I think.
With a good swell running onto the beaches I decided to try my luck at Blyth over low tide. Ragworm was the bait on a 3/0 pulley pennel. The sea looked huge but just before low tide the hole infront of me flattened off and became fishable for a short while.
Result was two fish, first a small codling of a pound and a half and then a better one at 6lb, my best this season.
I'd have been well happy with a small bass which was what I had in mind so the cod really made my day. First time this year on the beach to, great stuff.
Tightlines Dave.
