Anyway, wen a had 2 go 4 a walk (call of nature), i would like 2 thank the thieving scumbag (words chosen) for helping theirselves 2 my tackle box, some of the stuf taken belonged 2 my 15 year old son. Am pleased these people are the minority among genuine lads enjoying a bit of fishing. Cheers, happy fishing. Davey.
God help anyone I catch helping themselves to my gear when they think I'm not looking! That's real bad luck you've had there mate, I've never fished tynemouth pier, but I'm sure 99% of the lads are sound, same as everywhere else. Just takes one little scrote to spoil everything.y
I always fish alone, but on piers I always make a point of talking to the anglers next to me and normally everythings cool.
        Stay safe!
        Enjoy your fishing!
        Take your rubbish home!

I've had a Abu 6500 Elite taken from my bag on Roker Pier. I never went anywhere, so it could only have happened when casting out or reeling in. It's sickening, especially for those who'll struggle to afford a replacement. I've got a fair bit of gear, but that doesn't stop me from being paranoid when fishing now. Shame really, don't talk to other anglers much now just incase they're looking at what they or they're m8's can thieve off you.

Sorry to hear that Davey, it's disgusting. I've been fishing for thirty odd years and have lost count of the little good deeds ( lending gear, handing over spare bait, giving advice on marks, helping to land fish etc etc) and it's ****ed me off hearing about this because I suppose I always thought we looked out for each other. Hope the **** is on here and is feeling thoroughly ashamed of themselves.
