Hendon Prom
Fished Hendon prom from 3pm til 7.30pm last night: Braved the cold but never felt it at all thanks due to Aldi ski thermals,and yes before someone out there says it, I did look like Max Wall prior to putting the rest of my gear on. Only caught two small whities, a rockling and a dab however the full moon directly in front when it drew in dark was totally picturesque and I was in a world with no worries or cares; could have stayed longer but the tide had receeded and hunger pangs set in. I headed home only for further disapointment when I got to the fish shop they only had one fish lot left, so I made do with a pattie n chips and gave the fish lot to our lass. Bait used was rag and blow lug tipped with macky. A few others that were there also only caught a couple of small dabs and small whities unless anyone at the far end (Grangetown end did any better) I was about 120 yds south of the gas tanks end.
