Had a good session tonight at the Point Blackhall Rocks I started about 7.45pm perfect sea running, Had nothing 1st cast bait untouched runnydown tipped with rag so tried rag and razor 2nd cast in the water 10mins bang fish on, got it in 2 1/2 lb codling came up easy
. had nothing for about an hour then my rod went beserk grabbed it slack lined wound the slack in nowt on runnydown tipped with squid . about ten oclock had a riving bite it was still banging when i picked the rod up so just wound it in, felt much bigger than the 1st fish started cranking it up the side of the cliff rod bent double Imax6/7 reel slosh 30 and me struggling to get it up then twang hook came out
the lead went straight up the fish straight down, didnt see the fish but it made one hell of a splash wounded
just rag that time
stuck it out till about 10.45pm called it a day best thing was no whitings still got bait left so might give it anoher go friday night after work.
